Find Books

Links below search book collections.  LVC Books searches books--ebooks and print--that LVC owns.  WorldCat is a link to a catalog that will search 77,000 library collections from around the world.  If you do use WorldCat, you may also need to utilize a service called ILL/Interlibrary Loan/Tipasa to request a copy of the book.  Also, make sure to limit your WorldCat search to books.

Locate

You've found the book in the LVC Books search.  Now what?  Use the call number to find the book...

In Bishop Library, most of the books are stored on the upper level or the lower level.  Using your call number, first figure out what level your book is on:

A - PR

Located on the upper level

PS - Z

Located on the lower level

OVERSIZE

Located on the north and east sides of the upper level

Next, using the first two letters (which are alphabetically ordered in the book shelves), get yourself into the area of those two letters.  Finally, using your call number, use the image below to walk through locating your book.

Get

Interlibrary loan is a service that will provide you with information that LVC does not own.

Request your information via interlibrary loan, or ILL. Most of the library's databases will have an ILL link.

For books, we'll get you a copy of the book from another library--please allow two weeks for an ILL book to arrive.
