Library Hours

• Fall 2021 semester hours: Sun. noon-midnight, Mon.-Thurs. - 7:30 am-midnight, Fri. 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Sat. – 10 am – 5 pm.

Building Rules

• Masks are required throughout the building (even in study rooms).
• Food and beverage can be consumed in the Bishop Brews coffee shop, the booth area outside, and in study rooms.
  Please replace your masks after eating or drinking and wipe down these areas afterward.
• Seating and services have been reconfigured and relocated to promote three feet physical distancing.
• Occupancy in certain areas such as study rooms and the coffee shop will be limited.
• Outside community members are not permitted to use Bishop Library.
• All other campus wide COVID policies apply.

Services

• Research appointments (Book-A-Librarian) available via Zoom.
• Research questions can be answered using Ask A Librarian via text, email, or phone. This is monitored daily. 
• Curbside (outside the library) or Quick Pickup (inside the library) will be available. 
  Hours by appointment only. Place holds on items by visiting the library online catalog.

• Return items in the book drop located at the library’s main entrance.
• Interlibrary Loan requests may be placed for physical and electronic ILL materials.
  Be aware that many libraries are not lending physical materials or have limited hours and these issues cause delays.

• For Faculty: Physical Reserve Items
  Bishop Library WILL be having physical materials on reserve during fall 2021. Please provide the following information as soon as possible along with your reserve item(s): Instructors name, Course ID, Semester(s) for use, time period for checkout (2, 3, or 4 hours, 1 or 2 days, 1 week), and IN or OUT of library use. Contact Becky Chanas chanas@lvc.edu to coordinate.
