What are Primary Sources?

A primary source is a document written or created during the event. 

Primary sources may also be created at a later date by those who have participated in the event.

 

Primary sources include:  autobiographies OR autobiography OR diaries OR diary OR speeches OR letters OR "first hand" OR minutes OR interviews OR "oral history" OR journals OR journal OR narratives OR narrative OR memoirs OR memoir OR  images OR "official records" OR photographs
