Dr. Verhoek came to Lebanon Valley in 1974 and through the years was a dedicated teacher, especially in the area of botany, and she was an important contributor to the College at large. She served on numerous faculty committees, established the Faculty Club, and developed the College greenhouse. Dr. Verhoek also served on the Board of Trustees as a faculty representative.
