Maureen Bentz | Director of the Library

  • Hometown:  Lebanon, PA
  • Expertise:  Directing the Library
  • Favorite Books:  The Commitments by Roddy Doyle; Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
  • Favorite Food:  Sushi, mashed potatoes, eggplant parmesan or rollatini, and frozen mocha lattes (but not together)
  • Best part about working at LVC:  #1) The people and #2) The beautiful campus (thank you facilities staff!)
  • Hobbies:  Travel, watching old movies, and cooking.
  • Family: My historian husband Adam, daughter Eleanor, and my awesome parents Cathie and Terry.                           


Lori Nyce | Head of Collections and Technical Services

  • Hometown: Grew up in Paxtang, PA; Live in Hummelstown, PA
  • Expertise: Choosing, accessing, and searching print and online resources 
  • Favorite Books: Jane Eyre, RebeccaPride & Prejudice, Mysteries (Sherlock Holmes), Sci-Fi (Star Trek)
  • Favorite Food: Pizza, spaghetti, and other Italian food. Chocolate, Ice cream, and fruit.
  • Best part about working at LVC:  The campus community (especially library staff & students) and beautiful library.
  • Hobbies: Crochet, piano, doll & book collecting, reading, watching old movies and tv shows, antiquing 
  • Family: Mom, brother & family


Donna Miller | Instruction & Reference Librarian

  • Hometown: Grew up in Lititz, PA; Live in Manheim, PA.
  • Expertise:  Searching. Finding difficult to locate pieces of information.
  • Favorite Books:  Wild;  Quiet; The Shadow of the Wind.
  • Favorite Food: Roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy.  Homemade apple pie in milk.  Fresh peaches.   Dark chocolate.
  • Best part about working at LVC: The people, in particular the awesome students.
  • Hobbies:  Racquetball, hiking, backpacking, walking, reading, puttering around the house.
  • Family:  A daughter, Kate, a son, Ben; parents, a sister, two nieces.
