Faculty Scholarship at LVC

Description of the Faculty Celebration

Celebrate the scholarship and pedagogy of LVC faculty during the week of February 15-21, 2015 at Bishop Library.

Throughout the week, faculty members' work will be on display in the atrium of the library.The works on display include the following types of scholarship and pedagogy created during the last year to present: 

  • Articles (both journal articles and website articles)
  • Books (this includes book chapters and forewords written by faculty)
  • Conference papers
  • Presentations
  • Posters
  • Manuscripts
  • Music compositions
  • Works of art

Join us for an Innovation Forum on Wednesday, February 18 at 3:30 p.m. in Neidig-Garber 203. This event will include presentations from the following speakers:

  • Dr. Lewis Chasalow, Associate Professor of Business Administration
    SAP software
  • Dr. Philip Benesch, Associate Professor of Politics and
    Faculty Director of External Scholarships and Fellowships
    Symposium on Karl Popper & the Open Society
  • Dr. Barbara McNulty, Director of the Suzanne H. Arnold Art Gallery
    Day of the Dead

Join us for a Faculty Reception on Thursday, February 19 at 4 p.m. at Bishop Library. The event will include light refreshments and an introduction by Dr. Michael Green, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty, plus two faculty presentations from:

  • Dr. David Lyons, Professor of Mathematical Sciences
    Student-Faculty Research in Mathematics and Physics
  • Dr. Robert Machado, Assistant Professor of English
    Helping Students to Cultivate Originality and
    Innovation Across Professional and Creative Fields
