Dr. Brenda Leach recently released her new book, Looking and Listening: Conversations between Modern Art and Music in which she explores unique pairings of music and visual art in the 20th century. She is an accomplished performer and music professor who has taught at institutions including Harvard University. She has developed numerous courses and programs which emphasize interdisciplinary elements across the arts. Her approach has been greatly influenced by time living abroad in some of the great cities including Paris and St. Petersburg where she developed a passion for art. As a conductor and concert organist she has performed in major venues in the United States, Europe, and Russia. Brenda Leach holds the Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music degrees from the Eastman School of Music, as well as a Master of Education in Arts and Education from Harvard University. She has created unique programs linking music and the visual arts for museums and orchestras in the United States and abroad.
